Swiss army tip

This is a great tip and I recommend it for all iGo system users. It is basically a USB charging port. I will not say it works for all USB devices, but its worked for almost everything I've plugged into it.

A quick warning, anything that requires more than 500mA to initiate a charge, this will not work with. I should note that I do not own any Apple mobile devices nor will I, but as far as I know those require 1.2A to charge.

Let me share a story. I was in a serviced residence on a long trip. I have one of those portable media gateway devices I travel with on long trips. I had a new Buffalo 500GB pocket hard drive that I had loaded with media and took with me. I had not tested it with the system. Turns out that it needs to be powered by 2 USB ports to work. The media gateway only had 1 USB port. Enter this little tip. Plug the power USB cable into the tip and the mass storage USB cable into the media gateway. Voilla!
